Torpoint and Wilcove galvanised public support to help the Haiti earthquake disaster by raising money for Shelterbox. The Mayor of Torpoint organised a sale at the council hall that raise over £2,600. Cornerstone Church held a coffee morning raising nearly £500 and Wilcove villagers raised around £700 from their coffee morning.
